KAZAHAYA NO SATO
HANANOKA-JINJYA
We have Hana no Oka Shrine in the park.
This shrine enshrines Prince Shotoku.
Prince Shotoku is famous for founding Shitenno-ji Temple in 593 AD.
Shitenno-ji Temple was founded based on the “Shikain System.”
What is the “Shikain System”?
Kyoden-in
Seyaku-in
Ryobyo-in
Hiden-in
The “Shikain System” consists of these four.
Kyoden-in is a temple.
Seyaku-in is a pharmacy and Ryobyo-in is a hospital.
Hiden-in is a social welfare facility for the sick and the elderly with no relatives.
Public social welfare as we know it today was established by this system of Prince Shotoku.
Kazahaya no Sato serves as a workshop for users of “Kazahaya- no Sato”, a facility for the disabled operated by the social welfare corporation, Seiju-kai.
From such a social standpoint, we founded Hana no Oka Shrine to worship Prince Shotoku, the founder of welfare, and to thank him daily. We hope that everyone will revere him as well.
Please be sure to visit the shrine when you come to Kazahaya no Sato.
